True! That is eaxctly what they wanted to do... Notice: Israel lately stopped bombing; Palestinians are taking care of killing each other, then why waste extra rockets and bullets?
Great one, T.
Your cartoon would seem to imply that all Israelis are entertained by the fighting in Gaza. Whilst there are some sections of Israeli society who like nothing better than to watch Palestinians killing each other, there is a large and significant majority who deplore what is happening there, not just because it is bad for Israel (which it is) but because it is bad for Palestinians. Your cartoon makes a huge generalisation and stigmatises all sections of Israeli society with one view point. The equivalent would be a cartoon showing all Arabs entertained by 9/11.
As such, I think it is somewhat counterproductive in perpetuating a stereotype. What is missing from the Arab-Israeli problem is nuance and it's a shame you don't look to show this with this cartoon.
very expressive, you are of my favorites dude!!!!
It's not only the Israelis that are watching the Palestinians, its also the Americans, Europeans, and yes, even the Arabs.
What would have been more important to portray is the role Israel, the U.S., and certain Arab states are playing to fuel the violence.
Here is an article about this http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article7030.shtml
This simple cartoon is equivelent to 100 newspaper articles and thousands of T.V discussion hours. Really it is so expressive.
ONE OF YOUR BEST CARTOONS.
GOOD SUMMARY OF 59 YEARS ARAB-ISRAELI CONFLICT, ARAB-ARAB CONFLCT,MUSLIM-MUSLIM CONFLICT
